Computer Information Technology had a student graduate at the end of the semester. We had a little party for Brandee on her last day in the program. She did a really nice thing as a gift to each of her fellow students. She made two cupcakes for each student; one with their name, and another that captured some personality characteristic or interest area that was unique to them.
What you see above is a facsimile of the Mac apple and the Linux penguin, that represented Nathan's interest in Apple products, and Joe's interest in Linux operating systems. For another student she made a picture of an alien that represented John's interest in Alienware, a manufacturer of custom gaming computers and computer components. What was remarkable about her efforts, apart from being a very thoughtful thing to do, was any of the students could have looked at the cupcakes and told you who it was made for. They were very accurate in capturing what was commonly known about each student.
For me she made a cupcake with a picture of a cupcake on it. I guess that is because I had always complimented her on the cupcakes and other treats that she would unexpectedly bring in for her fellow students. I would have taken pictures of each cupcake...but I am afraid that many of them disappeared faster than I could get them with my phone camera.
